HMP Swaleside PIPE

  • The Provision PIPE offers support both for people in prison who struggle to participate in standard interventions, and those who are engaged in interventions. People in the pre-intervention phase will be offered the necessary preparation and support to enable them to engage in interventions. Those who are treatment ready may engage with the Pathways Treatment Service or be engaged in Offending Behaviour Programmes within the establishment, whilst resident on the Provision PIPE.

What does our service do?

HMP PIPE runs key working Structured Sessions including:

  • Socially Creative Sessions 
  • Access to Pathways Treatment Service 
  • PIPE support whilst completing Offending Behaviour programmes 

Who is this service for?

Adult Men who screen in OPD Pathway - high risk of harm & relational/emotional/behavioural difficulties mean they are struggling to progress normally through their sentence. The service has a capacity of 60 people.

To be accepted to this service, you must be:

  • Adult Male 
  • Screened into the OPD pathway
  • Have at least 18 months to serve 
  • Be at a high risk of harm – OASys score 
  • Have personality difficulties, but a diagnosis is not necessary managed by NPS 
  • (We are currently unable to accept sex offenders)

To be referred into this service a referral form must be sent to the PIPE mailbox. You can self refer from inside HMP Swaleside.
