Offender Personality Disorder (OPD) Pathway

The OPD Pathway is a jointly funded partnership between His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) and NHS England. It is a long-term change programme that commissions treatment and support services nationally for people with ‘personality disorder’, whose complex mental health problems are linked to their harmful offending.

LPP is the largest single health provider of OPD Pathway Services nationally.

LPP’s Current Service Provision

LPP jointly delivers services across London community and in prisons in the surrounding areas. These including community offender personality disorder (OPD) services, with  consultation provided to  5,000-6,000 cases through the Core Offender Management (CORE-OM) service,  200 receiving direct intervention through our Intensive Intervention and Risk Management  services  (IIRMS) and 100-150 Involvement and Inclusion cases. We also provide a service to 250 young adults in Newham, through the Y2A service. Our prison OPD services have a total capacity of 230 spaces distributed among several prisons including HMPs Aylesbury, Brixton, High Down, Standford Hill, Swaleside and Thameside.
